schafly and market and mobot!

Time for another foodie ride! Here's the low-down on our adventure, which will start this evening at the history museum.

We will be departing at 5 pm for Schafly Bottleworks to hit up the Maplewood farmer's market. It's only open Wednesdays from 4-7 pm, and I've heard good things. After stocking up on some food (and drink?), we're going to trek to the Missouri Botanical Gardens in Tower Grove, where there are free jazz concerts on Wednesday nights. We'll cook some food there, and chow down on what we bought while picnicing in the gardens. When we've had our fill of food and music, we'll head back to the history museum (around 8:30 maybe). Total is only around 12 miles, but we can always detour a little (there's a new sculpture park downtown that is opening tonight).

Since actually preparing food involves a little coordination, we're asking you for a few things. Nothing too painful:
1. RSVP. Shoot me an email if you think you can come, so we can plan for how many people we'll have.
2. Bring $3 to cover costs. We might not need this, but this would be for condiments/plates/buns/
whatever we need to make this into an actual dinner.
3. Bring money to buy food, or some food for the picnic.
4. Bring a bag to carry food in.

So meet at the front of the history museum at 5 pm. If you can't get off of work or whatever that early, you are welcome to meet us along the way (just give me a call). The concert starts at 7:30 pm, so you could even come for that.
