Will Bike for Humanity

This week let's bike for liquid food.  Let's bike... for Humanity.
This Tuesday, Architecture for Humanity is holding their long awaited happy hour and bake sale at the Schlafly Tap Room.  This will be a great chance to support our fine local brewery, socially conscious young designers, and the excellent local band Last to Show First to Go.  At no other event of the summer will you be able to get Miriam's famous summer squash cookies, drink Schlafly and listen to ex-professors (Mikey Naucas/Phil Valco) sing uptempo love songs.

Is this too good to be true... No!
Meet in front of Brookings to leave at 5:30.
Arrive before 6, just in time for the band!

Get Happy!

Phil

Schlafly Tap Room=2100 Locust street, if you can't bike, then meet us there.
Not 21? Have no fear, you can get in so bring your kids too!

As you grow older, you get cool privileges: driving, buying lottery tickets, going to bars, and, of course, eating breakfast whenever you want to.

Uncle Bill's Pancake House. It isn't clean and the service can be slow. However, Uncle Bill's is open 24/7, is a famous South City feature, and has delicious yet inexpensive pancakes, hash-browns, and steaks.

If you want sublime pecan pancakes served with a massive dollop of butter that you have to scrape off, join us in front of
Brookings Hall at 9:30 PM on Wednesday, July 21st.

TED DREWES

That's right folks.  The fantastic, the delicious Ted Drewes custard.

If you have only had it at Wash U in those frozen little cups of plain vanilla or chocolate, you are missing out.  Time to experience it for yourself.

We will be departing at 9:30 PM on Thursday from the bottom of the Brookings steps and heading South to the land of frozen custard and Chippewa.  It's an easy 6 mile ride there, and we'll take a bike friendly route (not on big roads).

Ted Drewes (and will bike) never disappoint, so don't miss out!  As always, helmets and bike lights are recommended.

See you then,
Karin

Local Yokel

Howdy bikers,

Tuesday is the day for some local food!

Will Bike for Food will be biking to Local Harvest Cafe (yum here) for Bike Night tomorrow.  Bike Night means 2 for 1 sandwiches, $2 Schafly, $3 domestic beers, if you ride in on your bicycle.

Local Harvest is fantastic and delicious, and features affordable sandwiches, smoothies and soups with ingredients from local farms and distributors.  One of my favorite places in the city.

It's only a short five mile ride there, through Tower Grove park.  If anyone wants to bring a disc, we could play some frisbee on the way back as well.

Meet at 6:15 pm in front of Brookings!  See you then!

This is short notice but I wanted to remind everyone that Full Moon Fiasco #64 is happening Saturday night.

I think the ride is at 11 PM so we will meet at my house (746 kingsland) starting at 9:30 PM. Bring booze, water bottles, mixers, and a helmet. We will leave my place around 10:30 so that we can be at turtle park on time. It's a slow ride so as long as you don't get a flat, you will be able to keep up no problem.

FBC is one of the coolest aspects of Saint Louis and you don't want to miss out!
